As a member of the Corporate Payroll team, this role will ensure accurate processing and recording of company's payroll, provide timely and accurate financial information, and participate in daily data entry Payroll processing. Candidate should possess skills to accurately process multi-state payrolls for approximately 1,000 US employees, bi-weekly, across multiple legal entities. This hybrid position is based in Chelmsford, MA on days when you report to the office.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate/GED; Accounting degree a plus.
  • 3+ years of experience processing multi-state payroll.
  • Working knowledge of payroll best practices.
  • Knowledge of ADP WFN payroll system is a plus but will train.
  • Strong PC skills including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Working knowledge of Kronos a plus.
  • Strong work ethic and team player.
  • High degree of professionalism as a highly trusted team member.
  • Ability to deal sensitively with confidential material.
  • Strong interpersonal (verbal and written) communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with various levels of management.
  • Decision-making, problem-solving, and analytical skills.

Responsibilities

  • Review employee timesheets and timecards to ensure that information is properly recorded and that records have authorized approvals.
  • Review reports listing timecards that cannot be processed because of errors and contact the employee or the employee's supervisor to resolve the problem.
  • Calculate and record adjustments to pay.
  • Process garnishments through the ADP payroll system.
  • Prepare and calculate manual checks.
  • Reconcile 401(k) adjustments with Corporate office.
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting from ADP using ADP Reporting.
  • Perform daily payroll department operations.
  • Manage workflow to ensure all payroll transactions are processed accurately and timely.
  • Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate confirmed reports.
  • Understand proper taxation of employer paid benefits.
  • Load import files received from HR (All Companies).
  • Research and email appropriate audience of file issues.
  • Perform various administrative tasks as assigned.
