About The Position

The Payroll Specialist at Aimbridge Hospitality is responsible for the day-to-day payroll processing functions using Ultipro applications. This role involves ensuring accurate payroll processing for a multi-state environment, adhering to deadlines, and maintaining compliance with applicable wage and hour laws. The position requires strong attention to detail, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • At least 3 years of multi-state payroll experience in an hourly labor environment.
  • Proficiency in ADP & Ceridian Payroll & Timekeeping software.
  • Fundamental Payroll Certificate (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) is a plus.
  • Knowledge of applicable state & federal wage & hour laws.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and work well under pressure.
  • Capable of working independently & as a team member with general supervision.
  • Excellent customer service, time-management & prioritization skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Commitment to accuracy & quality.
  • Proficiency in Word & Excel with clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Adhere to the policies outlined in the Aimbridge Employee Handbook.
  • Answer timecard questions.
  • Ensure timecards are approved by 5pm deadline.
  • Enter last minute new hires into the system.
  • Export data from Time Pro into the payroll system.
  • Process trial run of payroll.
  • Review payroll for errors.
  • Transmit payroll by Noon deadline Central time.
  • Review payroll reports.
  • Sort payroll checks/stubs and/or pay cards to send to properties.
  • Create PTO Report for Director of Shared Services.
  • Process all Payroll Changes (new W-4's, Timecard badge reissues, direct deposits, pay card updates, garnishments, address updates, status changes).
  • Review new hire paperwork and enter direct deposit info.
  • Run reports for benefits and operations.
  • Respond to phone calls/emails.
  • Create and maintain GM access in payroll processing system to access paycheck stubs.
  • Respond to wage verifications.
  • Submit the monthly Bureau of Labor Statistics report.
  • Submit State reports as needed.
