About The Position

A payroll specialist at our company, Payroll Consultants, is chiefly responsible for managing our payroll system and ensuring that all employees receive their salaries timely and accurately. Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with payroll software, such as ADP, is required.
• At least three years of experience in payroll processing and strong knowledge of legislation related to benefits and compensation is necessary.
• Having strong knowledge of tax procedures and wage laws is also crucial for this role.
• Exemplary math skills and the ability to handle confidential information discreetly and professionally.

Nice To Haves

• A Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation would be a definite advantage.

Responsibilities

• Manage all payroll procedures, ensuring accurateness and timeliness.
• Calculating wages, benefits, and deductions, preparing reports, and delivering statements.
• Prepare and process paperwork for new employees, set up payroll profiles, and maintain accurate payroll files.
• Staying up-to-date with labor legislation (at both federal and state levels) and informing management of any changes impacting the payroll.
• Solve issues and answer payroll-related questions and troubleshoot any errors in the payroll system.
