About The Position

The Manager of Payroll who this position reports to is interested in growing her team and building you as a payroll professional. This position is open due to growth of the company. The position will be responsible for multi-state payroll processing through Ultipro. The payroll team is close nit and comprises: The Payroll Manager, a Payroll Accountant, 2 Payroll Specialists. Payroll is run for 5,000 employees.
Requirements
- 2 plus years related payroll experience.
- Must have experience with Ultipro.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word); ability to learn required business system; and familiarity with internet research.
Responsibilities
- Weekly inspection of system output such as payroll registers and standard reports for accuracy and completeness
- Manual collection and batching of time records; computes wage, overtime payments and exceptions; and post to payroll records
- Prepares periodic reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, benefits, salary and address; and all related payroll tasks
- Processes final wages for employee terminations according to state-by-state and company procedures
- Responsible for payroll file transmission to various banks.
