This role will assist the payroll leaders in implementing and running the payroll processes and systems for the US, ensuring compliance with Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations, and maintaining a consistent, accurate, and efficient US operation.

Requirements

  • A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, human resources, or a related field is required, with a preference toward payroll certification.
  • 5+ years of experience in global payroll management. In-depth knowledge of payroll regulations, tax laws, and compliance requirements.
  • High level of integrity and a commitment to maintaining confidentiality.
  • Solid understanding of accounting fundamentals and payroll best practices
  • Proficient in MS Office and good knowledge of relevant software (e.g., ADP, Workforce, Workday)
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing Support: Engage with a payroll outsourcing provider and support payroll processing for employees accurately and on time, including calculating wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions.
  • Assist payroll leaders across all areas of US payroll and help oversee our outsourced payroll operations.
  • Data Management: Maintain employee records, including hours worked, taxes, and benefits deductions. Ensure data accuracy and confidentiality.
  • Compliance: Stay current with federal, state, and local payroll laws and regulations. Ensure compliance with tax laws, wage and hour regulations, FLSA regulations, and reporting.
  • Communication: Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, benefits, and deductions. Communicate payroll-related policies and procedures effectively.
  • Reporting: Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management as needed. Generate reports for tax filings, audits, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Problem Solving: Investigate and resolve payroll discrepancies and issues promptly. Collaborate with HR, Finance, and other departments to address payroll-related concerns.
  • System Maintenance: Maintain and update payroll software and systems. Implement improvements to streamline processes and increase efficiency.
  • Assist payroll leaders in evaluating external payroll service providers where necessary and managing those relationships effectively.
  • Continuously identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and standardization to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Assist with payroll audits to ensure payroll data integrity and compliance.
  • Develop and maintain payroll procedures and documentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service to internal and external customers.
