Responsible for accurate processing of Library’s bi-weekly payroll and statements of earnings and deductions. Processes and accurately records, updates, communicates and maintains all employee payroll related information such as transfers, resignations, exemption changes and new hires, including e-verify, issues and records pay-related adjustments, and prepares bi-weekly and monthly payroll reports. Provides information to employees and managers on payroll-related matters, investigates, identifies and resolves payroll-related issues. Processes billing for Library’s 457 retirement plans. Communicates new hire and termination information to appropriate departments, and manages active and term employee files. Leads payroll training section of new hire orientation. Able to work the normally scheduled work time for this position. Able to cope with daily job-related stress
