About The Position

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance with applicable laws and regulations. This role requires a strong understanding of payroll management systems and accounting principles, as well as excellent analytical skills. The Payroll Specialist will work closely with the Human Resources department to support employee compensation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in payroll management, preferably in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in payroll software such as ADP and QuickBooks is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and reconciliation processes.
  • Familiarity with human resources functions related to employee compensation and benefits administration.
  • Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information responsibly.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across departments.

Responsibilities

  • Process payrolls for all employees accurately and in a timely manner using payroll management software such as ADP.
  • Perform general ledger reconciliation to ensure all payroll transactions are accurately recorded.
  • Maintain employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in pay rates or deductions.
  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to address payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies.
  • Analyze payroll data to identify trends or issues that may require attention or correction.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations and reporting requirements.
  • Assist in the preparation of reports related to payroll expenses, labor costs, and other financial metrics.
  • Support audits by providing necessary documentation and responding to inquiries related to payroll processes.
  • Assist the HR Manager with other projects.
