  • Associate degree in Accounting (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of payroll experience preferred
  • Experience with payroll/accounting software preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills (especially Excel)
  • Working knowledge of payroll practices and basic accounting principles
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
  • Experience in IDD/DD services or community-based programs is a plus
  • Office-based position
  • Regular computer-based work
  • Ability to sit, stand, kneel, and move throughout the workday
  • Ability to occasionally lift up to 75 lbs
  • Reliable attendance required

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree in Accounting (preferred) or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of payroll experience preferred
  • Experience with payroll/accounting software preferred
  • Experience in IDD/DD services or community-based programs is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and process payroll for all CVI employees
  • Collect and review timekeeping data for accuracy
  • Calculate wages, benefits, deductions, and taxes
  • Process direct deposits and maintain payroll records
  • Complete federal and state tax reporting and filings
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and maintain liability accounts
  • Track PTO and sick leave balances
  • Handle garnishments and workers’ compensation reporting
  • Ensure accurate W-2 preparation and filing
  • Partner with HR to ensure benefit deductions are correct
  • Maintain payroll files, reports, and audit documentation
  • Support the Director of Accounting with projects and process improvements
  • Provide friendly, professional support for payroll-related questions
