About The Position

The Payroll Specialist will assist with payroll processes using systems to produce an accurate and timely payroll and ensure compliance with all applicable state(s) and federal wage and hour laws. They will approve employee level system changes with accuracy and assist with employee questions and concerns.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of payroll and human resource processes.
  • Experience with problem analysis and problem resolution.
  • Proficiency with computer systems: Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Some experience with payroll software systems is a must.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze, prepare and input payroll data.
  • Assist in the preparation of payroll files and provides newly hired staff with accurate training.
  • Process scheduled payroll while adhering to state, federal and FLSA compliance standards.
  • Maintain and process employee level system changes while verifying for accuracy.
  • Answer employee questions and assist with employee issues to find a resolution.
  • Conduct various audits to ensure the accuracy of payroll records.
  • Verify and audit timekeeping records for compliance.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
