As a Payroll Specialist, you would be responsible for high-volume entry and administration of all payroll. This is accomplished through standard concepts, practices and procedures in payroll. This position also requires attention to detail, problem-solving skills and the ability to manage competing deadlines. A positive teamwork attitude, effective communication with the field and internal departments is mandatory for the success of this position.

Requirements

  • Good working knowledge of payroll practices and procedures, local, state and federal laws.
  • Experience in payroll administration is preferred.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and critical thinking.
  • Ability to multi-task, organize, prioritize and coordinate work activities.
  • Effective oral and written communication skills, attention to detail and accuracy a must.
  • Knowledge of employee benefits, 401(k) plans, and accounting principles.
  • Knowledge of Bankruptcies, Child Support, Garnishment laws and Levies.
  • Intermediate to advance level in Microsoft Office: Word, Outlook and Excel, ADP Vantage, ADP Reporting and ADP Enterprise timekeeping system.
  • Previous high-volume experience with payroll is a plus!

Responsibilities

  • Payroll Processing
  • Data entry of all New Hire data.
  • Employee maintenance to include: Address changes, direct deposit changes, transfers, pay changes, and terminations in ADP Vantage for all locations.
  • Manages New Hire first payments and final payments for terminations in ADP Enterprise Timekeeping and ADP Vantage.
  • Data entry in ADP Vantage: Company assets, Auto Allowance, Concur Sheet, CPR and Blood Borne Certificate training, Travelers documents for OSHA reporting.
  • Create and Run audits: All data entry for employees.
  • File Bound: scans all new hire data, employee maintenance, terminations in File Bound.
  • Provides copies of Offer letters to Payroll Manager for bonus and commissions, updates both commission and bonus spreadsheets.
  • Life, LTD and STD calculations and data entry into ADP Vantage on a weekly basis.
  • Auto allowance tracking for taxable purposes monthly.
  • Support the Payroll Manager and other Payroll Specialists as needed, including providing backup coverage and assisting with other assigned projects.
  • Ensures payment and government reports are accurate quarterly from ADP Vantage reporting.
  • Runs reports for Loss Prevention for CPR and blood borne training.
  • Prepares various payroll reports as requested.
