About The Position

Vaco is hiring a contract, remote Payroll Specialist expected to last 4-6 months. This position is fully remote. Pay: $30-40/hr. We are seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist with a strong background in payroll processing, particularly using DayForce payroll software. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in multistate payroll, 401k administration (and HSA), and General Ledger setup and data entry. This role is key to ensuring the timely and accurate processing of payroll while maintaining compliance with federal and state payroll laws. Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with DayForce payroll software.
• Strong knowledge of multistate payroll.
• Experience with 401k Administration and HSA programs.
• Proficiency in GL setup and data entry for payroll purposes.
• Previous experience in payroll implementation is a plus, especially with DayForce.
• Ability to calculate and process payroll adjustments effectively.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with federal and state payroll laws.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, working effectively with HR and Finance teams.

Responsibilities

• Process multistate payroll for employees, ensuring accuracy and compliance with all applicable federal and state payroll laws.
• Administer 401k plans and HSA accounts, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
• Set up and maintain GL entries and data entry as it relates to payroll.
• Calculate and process payroll adjustments as necessary.
• Collaborate closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management, providing insights on key payroll metrics.
• Ensure timely and accurate payroll processing, including handling any adjustments that may arise.
• Step in immediately to assist with payroll operations as needed, with initial guidance from the current Payroll Specialist.
