Your Purpose as a Payroll Manager: Lead the Payroll Department, including team leadership, accuracy, employee relations, and best practices. Oversee accurate and timely processing of semi-monthly payrolls for 1,800+ employees, including direct responsibility for a portion of the payroll. Manage, mentor, and develop payroll team members. Serve as primary contact for payroll system implementations and enhancements Ensure accurate entry of payroll and HR changes into Paylocity, along with time and attendance adjustments. Conduct weekly and monthly payroll audits to confirm accuracy and compliance. Provide reporting and analysis to leadership on payroll trends and exceptions. Maintain confidentiality, data integrity, and internal controls. Manage garnishments in compliance with state laws. Collaborate with dealership leadership on pay plans, commissions, bonuses, and payroll-related matters. Research and resolve payroll issues; escalate concerns when necessary. Identify opportunities for process improvements and document payroll procedures. Oversee payroll/timekeeping system projects and train users. Stay informed on payroll laws, regulations, and compliance requirements. Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Payroll Manager strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field preferred
  • Paylocity experience is a plus
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, auditing practices, and compliance
  • Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • High attention to detail and commitment to confidentiality
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
