About The Position

We are looking for a Payroll Manager to own end-to-end payroll operations across our global employee base. You’ll manage payroll across multiple regions and vendors, ensuring employees are paid accurately, on time, and in compliance with local requirements. This is a business-critical role that supports every employee’s experience and helps ensure payroll operations scale efficiently as we grow and add new entities. You’ll partner closely with People and Finance to streamline workflows, strengthen controls, and continuously improve how payroll is delivered across the organization. Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience owning end-to-end payroll
  • Proven experience supporting global payroll across multiple countries/entities
  • Hands-on experience running US and Canada payroll
  • A deep understanding of payroll principles and practices as well as in-depth knowledge of local, state, federal, and international payroll, tax, and labor laws
  • Proficiency in payroll software and systems
  • Familiarity with payroll retirement and benefits programs (e.g., 401(k), RRSP, and similar programs)
  • Strong attention to detail, sound judgment, and ability to meet tight payroll deadlines
  • Clear communicator with a customer-service mindset when supporting employees and resolving payroll issues

  • Prior experience using Rippling
  • Experience working with Deel or another EOR provider
  • Experience supporting payroll accounting/reconciliations and payroll-related journal entries

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end payroll operations across all global payrolls (US, Canada, UK, Netherlands, Australia, and Belgium), ensuring accurate and on-time pay every cycle
  • Partner with Deel to manage EOR payroll for additional international locations
  • Triage and manage the payroll inbox, responding to employee questions and resolving issues quickly and professionally
  • Ensure payroll compliance across regions, including managing payroll tax filings, payments, and required reporting
  • Process payroll changes including new hires, terminations, compensation updates, deductions, and off-cycle payments
  • Manage payroll deductions and contributions for benefits and retirement programs (e.g., 401(k), RRSP, and regional equivalents), ensuring accurate setup and ongoing administration
  • Own year-end payroll processes and required reporting (e.g., W-2s/T4s and local equivalents), ensuring timely and accurate delivery
  • Support commission payments, including one-off adjustments and exceptions as needed
  • Partner with People and Finance to ensure accurate inputs, approvals, and a smooth payroll close
  • Complete payroll reconciliations and support payroll-related journal entries / ERP coordination
  • Provide payroll reporting and support Finance with budgeting and forecasting inputs
  • Maintain payroll policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure consistency and audit readiness
  • Stay current on global payroll regulations and best practices, proactively flagging changes and risks
  • Manage relationships with payroll vendors and service providers to ensure accurate processing and strong support
  • Support scaling payroll processes as we add new entities, countries, and complexity
