About The Position

Rogers Group, Inc., headquartered in Nashville, is a privately held aggregates and asphalt highway construction company operating in 12 states with over 3,000 employees. RGI, established in 1908, has the distinction of being recognized as the largest privately held aggregate producer in the United States. We have 86 quarries and 56 asphalt plants across Tennessee, Mississippi, Georgia, Alabama, South Carolina, North Carolina, Kentucky, Arkansas, Texas, Indiana, Illinois, and Ohio. Roger’s Group is currently seeking a Payroll Coordinator to join our team. This in office position is based at our corporate headquarters in Nashville, TN. The successful candidate for this role will have previous experience with payroll processing, along with a high level of attention to detail, confidentiality, and dependability. The candidate should be able to thrive in a deadline driven environment. This is an hourly position and reports to the Payroll Manager.

Requirements

  • 2-3 years Payroll processing experience required.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (with an emphasis on Excel).
  • Knowledge of federal and state payroll regulations.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with involuntary deductions such as Child Support and Garnishments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process in house, weekly payroll for 3000+ multi-state employees.
  • HRIS Employee Data Entry (new hire, rate changes, etc.)
  • Entry of payroll information (Federal W4, State Withholding, Direct Deposit, etc.)
  • Perform various payroll functions such as completing written Employment Verification forms, Child Support Enforcement forms, workers Comp wage forms, etc.
  • Complete State Unemployment Benefit Audit forms.
  • Cover for team members in back-up role for vacation and/or high-volume work times.
  • Learn and/or take on any new responsibilities as assigned by manager.
