About The Position

Kforce has a client in Newington, CT that is seeking a Payroll Clerk. The Payroll Clerk will be responsible for collecting and verifying timekeeping information from employees, entering and updating payroll data in the system accurately and promptly, and processing payroll for hourly and salaried employees according to the organization's schedule. The role also involves assisting in reviewing timesheets and work charts for completeness and accuracy, responding to employee inquiries regarding pay, deductions, taxes, and timekeeping, and maintaining and updating employee payroll records and documentation. Additionally, the Payroll Clerk will prepare and distribute paychecks or initiate direct deposit payments, assist with payroll reporting and audits as needed, ensure compliance with company policies and applicable wage and hour laws, and support other administrative and accounting tasks as required.
