Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; associate's degree in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Payroll Clerk or in a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll, tax regulations, and employment laws.
  • Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
  • Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information confidentially and professionally.

Responsibilities

  • Process and administer payroll for all employees accurately and on time.
  • Maintain payroll records and documentation to ensure compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Respond to employee inquiries regarding payroll, deductions, and payment discrepancies.
  • Support the onboarding process by entering new employee data into the payroll system.
  • Prepare and distribute payroll reports for management review as needed.
  • Assist in the year-end payroll process, including tax reporting and W-2 distribution.
  • Collaborate with the HR department to ensure proper maintenance of payroll and employee records.
