About The Position
The Payroll Clerk at Nashville Record Pressing LLC will play a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely processing of payroll for all employees. This position is primarily responsible for managing weekly payroll and maintaining comprehensive employee time records. The Payroll Clerk will utilize the Paychex HRIS system to enter, maintain, and process payroll information, which includes employee hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses, time worked, paid leave, holidays, deductions, and address changes. Accuracy is paramount, as the Payroll Clerk will also ensure the correct processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, charitable contributions, and other withholdings. Additionally, the role involves reconciling payroll with the general ledger and monthly bank statements, as well as issuing or reissuing physical or replacement checks or direct deposits in cases of payroll errors or final discharge. Beyond payroll responsibilities, the Payroll Clerk will assist with various HR-related functions. This includes filing employee paperwork, such as new hire documentation and benefits forms, and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations. The Payroll Clerk will also coordinate company events, such as employee appreciation lunches, team-building activities, and holiday parties, fostering a positive workplace culture. Furthermore, the role involves managing basic onboarding tasks, which include scheduling orientation sessions, preparing welcome packets, and assisting new employees with the completion of required paperwork. The Payroll Clerk will administer the orientation process by introducing new hires to company policies, procedures, and benefits, ensuring they have a smooth transition into the organization. Overall, this position is essential for maintaining employee satisfaction and compliance within the payroll and HR functions of the company.
