We seek an exceptional individual to join our Payroll Services team as the Payroll and Data Services Analyst (Administrative Analyst/Specialist - Non-Exempt). Under the general supervision of the Payroll and Data Services Director, the Payroll and Data Services Administrative Analyst provides comprehensive administrative and technical support in designated functional areas, colleges, or departments. Key responsibilities include processing employee payroll transactions and conducting full-cycle audits to ensure accuracy and compliance. The Analyst interprets and applies Federal, State, California State University (CSU), and campus policies related to payroll, employment, and data management. This role serves as a resource for payroll, employment, and data-related inquiries, offering consultative services to employees and authorized vendors, such as CalPERS. Additionally, the Analyst reviews, processes, and inputs a wide range of payroll transactions-including status changes, leaves, and separations-into systems such as the State Controller's Office Personnel Information Management System (PIMS) and Oracle PeopleSoft Human Capital Management (HCM) Common Human Resources System (CHRS). The Analyst provides expertise on various payroll, employment, and data-related topics, including leave accrual rates, loan forgiveness documentation, entitlements, service salary increase (SSI) eligibility, payroll and personnel transactions, pay docks, stipends, bonuses, and salary adjustments. This role involves active collaboration with the campus community to review and refine university policies and procedures impacting payroll and employment processes. The Payroll and Data Services Administrative Analyst works closely with various Human Resources, Diversity and Inclusion (HRDI) departments, the CSU Fullerton community, other CSU campuses, the Chancellor's Office, the State Controller's Office (SCO), CalPERS, and other relevant entities. The Analyst contributes to the development, maintenance, and implementation of improvements for CSU Fullerton-specific and systemwide programs and initiatives. Additionally, the Analyst supports the department and division objectives as well as the university's mission. Other duties as assigned.
