Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
• 1 year of experience in accounting or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, including pivot tables.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Effective problem-solving abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in payroll and/or accounts payable is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Processing payroll accurately and on time, including handling deductions, benefits, tax filings, and employee payroll inquiries.
• Keeping payroll records up to date and resolving any discrepancies.
• Reviewing, verifying, and processing vendor invoices in a timely manner.
• Reconciling accounts and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Preparing payments through checks, ACH transfers, and recording transactions.
• Addressing vendor inquiries with effective communication skills.
• Assisting with month-end and year-end financial processes.
• Staying informed on payroll and accounts payable regulations.
• Supporting audits with necessary documentation and reports.
• Filing surplus lines taxes with the Department of Insurance.
