Join the Snowflake team as a Payroll Analyst, where you will be part of the rapidly growing Americas Payroll team. This position is suited for self-motivated and detail-oriented individuals with excellent time management skills, capable of delivering results in a fast-paced environment. You will report to the Payroll Manager and collaborate closely with team members and other business stakeholders. The role requires working at the Dublin, CA office three days a week.

  • Process US payroll runs on a bi-weekly basis for 4,000+ employees across 48 states following various cadences.
  • Analyze and detect opportunities for improvement and recommend scalable processes and/or best practices.
  • Provide standard and ad-hoc payroll reports as needed by various internal departments such as Finance, Accounting, Legal, Benefits, and People Operations.
  • Assist the Payroll team with compliance related matters including multi-jurisdiction tax withholdings, reviewing timesheets for non-exempt employees, garnishments, annual audits, balancing and reconciling pay data.
  • Research and resolve tax notices from federal, state, and local tax agencies.
  • Support various projects involving process enhancements and system integrations.
  • Provide exemplary support to employees by resolving issues and responding to inquiries effectively and timely.
  • Create and/or maintain payroll documentation related to processing, operational procedures, compliance, and other payroll-related matters.
  • Perform data reconciliation/audits to ensure data integrity across multiple disparate systems.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, and/or Accounting.
  • Minimum of 2+ years of relevant and progressive payroll experience; public company payroll experience preferred.
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now required; Workday HCM experience a plus.
  • Basic understanding of accounting, taxation, and finance concepts as it relates to payroll.
  • Proficiency in utilizing various software applications (e.g. Google Suite and Microsoft Excel).
  • Exceptional organizational skills, communication, and ability to think outside the box.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with team members and other stakeholders.
