The DoorDash Global Payroll Team is on a mission to deliver accurate, timely, and seamless payroll experiences that support our employees across North America and beyond. Requirements

  • 3+ years of hands-on experience processing complex, multi-state US payrolls (Canadian payroll experience is a plus but not required).
  • Proficiency in payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, or similar platforms, and advanced Excel or Google Sheet skills (e.g., VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Proactive problem solver who identifies root causes and implements scalable, best-practice solutions with minimal direction.
  • Collaborative, detail-oriented, and comfortable working across teams in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Developing expertise in payroll fundamentals and eager to expand your scope and take on new challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Execute regular payroll processing tasks for US and Canada with precision and timeliness, including audits, reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Serve as a process owner, proactively identifying and implementing payroll process improvements and automation initiatives.
  • Partner with internal teams (HRIS, Benefits, Legal, Equity) and external vendors to troubleshoot and resolve payroll issues.
  • Support payroll-related projects of moderate complexity, such as compliance updates, audit prep, or payroll calendar transitions.
  • Identify and flag workflow gaps, escalate to the appropriate teams, and contribute to documentation and knowledge-sharing efforts.
  • Develop your knowledge of North American payroll operations while learning scalable practices in a high-growth, fast-moving environment.
