The Payroll Administrator at Driveline is responsible for managing the payroll process, ensuring compliance with internal policies and government regulations, and producing accurate payroll reports. This role involves training junior team members, auditing payroll data, and maintaining confidentiality of employee information. The position requires collaboration with payroll vendors and internal departments to ensure all payroll-related tasks are completed efficiently and accurately.

  • Utilize time, attendance, and expense utilities to produce weekly payroll reports.
  • Verify accuracy and compliance of payroll data before submission to the payroll vendor.
  • Provide leadership and training for junior payroll team members and administrative personnel.
  • Compile payroll export files with supplemental wage and expense reports.
  • Audit the final weekly payroll upload file for compliance and accuracy.
  • Coordinate the processing of final paychecks according to regulations.
  • Maintain knowledge of final payday and minimum wage requirements for all jurisdictions.
  • Reconcile processed payroll against submitted files for accuracy.
  • Partner with payroll vendor and Controller to ensure tax requirements are fulfilled.
  • Maintain security and confidentiality of company and personnel data.
  • Oversee the production and distribution of employee W2s.
  • Produce scheduled payroll reports for internal and external requirements.
  • Fulfill HR and legal requests for wage-related reporting accurately.
  • Maintain organized archives of compensation-related data on the Payroll shared drive.
  • Create step-by-step process guides for payroll processing tasks.
  • 3+ years of experience in payroll processing with multi-state experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, finance, accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Payroll focused continuing education courses and certifications (preferred).
