About The Position

Insomnia Cookies is on a journey to become the most imaginative sweet indulgence brand in the world. We are seeking a new Payroll Administrator to coordinate all aspects of payroll processing and timecard administration for over 4000 employees located at 275 locations across 40+ states and in Canada. This role is based out of our office in Center City Philadelphia and reports directly to our Director of Payroll & HRIS. The Payroll Administrator will ensure the timely and accurate processing of regular payroll in accordance with all applicable laws, regulations, and company policies and procedures. This includes processing weekly (nonexempt) and bi-weekly (exempt & nonexempt) payroll cycles in a multi-state environment, auditing time import files, balancing payroll, and researching discrepancies. Additionally, the role involves processing off-cycle payments for immediate state terminations and assisting with audits as needed. The Payroll Administrator will also be responsible for quickly resolving issues when they arise, addressing the root cause, and recommending mitigation plans to build business resilience. Furthermore, the position includes administering wage garnishments/levies and working with the People team on payroll-related administration of 401(k) and benefits plans. Participation in cross-functional projects as needed is also part of the role.
