The Payroll Administrator is responsible for processing payroll with a focus on accuracy and efficiency. This role involves managing payroll audits, employee profile changes, and ensuring compliance with labor laws. The ideal candidate will thrive in a family-oriented culture and be driven by achieving weekly goals while providing exceptional service to employees regarding their paychecks.

  • Processes payroll and payroll audits for 3,000+ employees.
  • Handles employee profile changes including transfers, promotions, demotions, wage changes, job changes, terminations, and new hires.
  • Assists with the accuracy and distribution of W-2s.
  • Completes various payroll-related reports such as Tip Report, BLS, and Multiple Worksite Reports.
  • Reconciles deductions and payments for the Shoes for Crews program.
  • Communicates positively and professionally with employees and management at all levels.
  • Provides assistance to auditors by supplying reports and answering questions.
  • Performs various HR and Payroll tasks such as direct deposit and voluntary insurance mailings to new hires.
  • Issues and distributes paychecks and manages direct deposits and garnishments.
  • Follows California and Arizona labor laws regarding payroll administration.
  • Audits PTO, direct deposits, and new hire reports.
  • BA degree or equivalent experience (preferred).
  • Previous multi-unit and multi-state payroll experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under limited supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all levels of staff and vendors.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to present in front of medium-sized groups.
  • Solid understanding of state and federal laws related to company-sponsored benefit plans.
