About The Position

The Payroll Accountant will be responsible for supporting payroll operations, ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing, and maintaining the integrity of payroll-related financial records. This role requires strong analytical skills, an in-depth knowledge of payroll accounting practices and principles, and a thorough understanding of payroll laws and regulations. Perform various accounting functions to ensure accurate and complete general ledger balances. Prepare monthly reconciliations of Payroll related accounts, partnering with other departments to resolve variances.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
1-2 years in Accounting or Finance
Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
Ability to think critically and solve problems, particularly when dealing with payroll discrepancies or compliance issues.

Responsibilities

Perform general ledger functions, including creating and posting journal entries to accurately record payroll transactions.
Conduct payroll reconciliations to verify the accuracy of payroll data.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in a timely and efficient manner.
Ensure that all payroll activities comply with relevant regulatory standards and organizational policies, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of payroll laws and regulations.
