About The Position

SWIVEL is seeking talented students to join our College Intern Program in San Antonio, Texas. This is an exciting opportunity for college students who are motivated and eager to learn within their educational field of study. We’re seeking a PayOps Intern to support operational workflow design, process improvement initiatives, and project standardization efforts across the PayOps organization. This internship will focus on analyzing business processes, documenting workflows, auditing operational tools and systems, and contributing to cross‑functional operational enhancements. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail‑oriented, and comfortable learning new systems and tools while applying structured problem‑solving techniques. Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Business Administration, Business Analytics, Management Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Expected graduation date of December 2026 or later.
  • Completed at least 3 years of college coursework.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to assess processes, workflows, and operational dependencies.
  • Basic experience with process mapping or project management tools (e.g., Figma, Lucidchart, Jira).
  • Solid communication skills and the ability to summarize findings and recommendations in a polished and structured format.
  • Detail‑oriented, curious, and comfortable learning new systems, tools, and business processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a corporate, cross‑functional environment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagram key operational workflows to identify gaps, inefficiencies, or areas for process enhancement.
  • Expand Jira project templates and automation to support additional implementation workflows, ensuring consistent usage and improved tracking.
  • Build supporting workflow and process diagrams using approved tools (e.g., Lucidchart, Figma).
  • Audit all client‑facing implementation forms to identify consolidation opportunities and recommend process improvements.
  • Review existing project plans across business units and assist with creating a standardized project plan template with best‑practice recommendations.
  • Research industry best practices for release risk scoring and propose a simple, standardized risk score model for internal use.
  • Inventory current alerting systems and catalog active alerts; recommend improvements, consolidation, or elimination to support operational efficiency.
  • Help document findings, recommendations, workflow updates, and operational standards.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners to translate requirements into usable documentation and actionable recommendations.
  • Communicate progress clearly and summarize insights in professional, well‑structured formats.
