About The Position

Payment Operations Specialist will support Payments products and services. This position will resolve issues independently and work with minimal supervision plus act as a resource to assist other Payments teams and work on special assignments.

Requirements

  • 6 months experience as a Client Service Representative or equivalent.
  • Excellent telephone and client service skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • Possess a strong understanding of Healthcare payments-related systems, processes and products.
  • Troubleshoot complex client issues.
  • Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize Zelis Payments proprietary system and MS Office applications such as Word and Excel.
  • Work on assignments that are more complex in nature in which judgment and initiative are required to make recommendations or resolve problems.
  • Attention to detail and concern for impact is essential.

Nice To Haves

  • JIRA and Salesforce experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to incoming email inquiries from medical providers and payers regarding new and ongoing payment processes, ensuring clear, accurate, and timely communication.
  • Apply sound judgment and critical thinking to resolve email-based issues, escalating complex or unusual situations to supervisors or managers when appropriate.
  • Monitor email trends and frequently asked questions to identify coaching opportunities for Client Services and offsite vendor leadership teams.
  • Serve as a role model by consistently demonstrating professionalism, accuracy, and adaptability in all email interactions.
  • Identify and recommend improvements to email workflows, communication strategies, and knowledge resources, helping to enhance overall operational efficiency.
