The Payments - ACH Technical Team at UMB Bank is dedicated to the management, support, and maintenance of several key payment applications within our ecosystem, including ACH, Instant Payments, and international wire transfers. This team plays a crucial role in ensuring that these applications and their associated systems and processes operate efficiently, thereby preventing any business disruptions. The Payments Mainframe Developer will be responsible for monitoring, maintaining, and supporting our payment applications, which encompass multiple services such as ACH, Foreign Exchange, and the innovative Instant Payments. This position primarily focuses on mainframe applications but also requires collaboration with a team that supports key payment technologies that either execute on or integrate with distributed systems. The role includes a variety of responsibilities, including other initiatives assigned by IT leadership. In this position, you will spend your time providing production support for highly complex applications in production. This involves troubleshooting issues, proposing solutions, developing and testing fixes, and implementing those solutions. You will work closely with application and infrastructure teams, vendors, and various business units to identify and remediate issues effectively. Additionally, you will provide support and development in project delivery for our payment systems, including ACH PEP+, ACH Alert, FXSuite 360, and Instant Payments. This role is hybrid, requiring on-site presence on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for candidates in the Kansas City area, while also being open to qualified remote candidates located outside of Kansas City but within the United States.
