We are looking for a dedicated Payment Specialist to work closely with the AR team and collaborate with other departments to ensure overdue balances from our commercial and residential customers are collected in a timely manner. This role includes making outbound phone calls to customers, running reports, and tracking collection efforts. At Waynes our goal is to provide World Class Service-Every Time! Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum of 1 year of collection experience.
  • Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience.
  • Excellent customer service and phone skills.
  • Strong written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to problem-solve and adapt to change.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate degree or vocational school training preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of collections experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

  • Make outbound collection calls to past due customers to collect payments and discuss account activity.
  • Maintain and notate all appropriate information and documentation on customers account status.
  • Work with third party collections agencies.
  • Meet bi-weekly and month-end deadlines.
  • Work with internal departments to resolve payment or accounting issues.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
