About The Position

The Payment Posting Specialist effectively and accurately posts all insurance payments while ensuring all claims are paid as they should be. This individual also serves as a point of contact for insurance payment questions or concerns for other staff members. Understand insurance and stay up to date on the typical payment models of various plans, as it is ever changing. Ensure that all EFTs are posted as quickly as possible. Ensure that all EFTs and virtual credit card payments are processed and posted. At the month-end, ensure all payments have been appropriately applied. Identify patterns of inaccurate payment amounts, retractions, denials, etc. Answer the phone in a friendly manner and assist coworkers and patients who leave voicemail in a timely fashion. Work closely with other members of the billing team. This position will work closely with the Billing Supervisor and Insurance Specialists.

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Excellent in-person and phone customer service skills.
• Close attention to detail.
• Great time management and organizational skills.
• Team player attitude and energetic with a focus on excellent customer service.
