About The Position

The Payment Poster & Research Specialist is responsible for the accurate posting and reconciliation of electronic and manual insurance payments as well as patient payments. This role involves collaboration with various internal departments and external partners to ensure timely and precise financial transactions, contributing to the overall efficiency of the accounting process.

Requirements

• Proficient in computer and mathematical skills.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
• Expert knowledge of Affinity, Emdeon, Streamline, and Med Assets.

Responsibilities

• Post and reconcile all electronic and manual insurance payments and patient payments.
• Collaborate with internal departments and external business partners for timely and accurate payment processing.
• Utilize expert knowledge of Affinity, Emdeon, Streamline, and Med Assets for payment posting.
• Ensure payments are posted in a timely manner under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
• Post batches according to department guidelines and ensure accurate AR reporting with Accounting.
• Organize daily posting logs and submit them for reconciliation of daily postings.
• Manage Suspense accounts weekly to identify and transfer funds to appropriate patient accounts.
• Conduct payment posting research to identify errors and document findings for Accounting.
