About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Payment Operations Analyst to join the Finance Team at Tesla, focusing on accounts payable & T&E processes. This role involves analyzing payment activity,
invoice data and expense information, ensuring accuracy and integrity in financial transactions, and supporting key performance indicators (KPIs) through detailed reporting. The ideal candidate will collaborate with cross-functional payment process teams to scale operations, drive efficiencies, and maintain compliance with corporate policies and controls in a fast-paced, growing environment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business, or equivalent experience
• Experience with ERP systems, with AX Dynamics experience preferred
• 5+ years of experience in accounts payable payment processing
• 2+ years of experience in project management within a finance operations environment with cross-functional teams
• 1-2 years of experience in travel & expense
• Proficient in global banking payment methods and terminology
• Ability to communicate complex situations and findings clearly across different organizational levels

Responsibilities

• Analyze payment activity and invoice data to identify trends and ensure accuracy for accounts payable
• Support accounts payable and T&E KPIs by developing ad-hoc reports and reconciling aging reports
• Utilize core risk and payments experience to enhance infrastructure, tools, systems, and data integrity
• Demonstrate expertise in process design by identifying gaps, driving efficiencies, and implementing improvements
• Collaborate with payment process teams to determine requirements for scaling operations
• Execute daily payment transactions, monitor flows, and perform account reconciliations while resolving discrepancies
• Develop and maintain escheatment processes and reporting for unclaimed property while ensuring SOX 404 compliance
