About The Position

The position is responsible for accurate payment and adjustment posting on accounts billed by the EvergreenHealth Professional Billing department. The job requires the individual to accurately enter, balance, and post payments and contractual allowances in a timely manner, along with performing other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Demonstrated problem solving ability.
• Ten-key by touch.

Nice To Haves

• College degree/Vocational training in billing or business.
• 1 year previous experience in professional billing.
• Knowledge and experience in working with health care insurers' and their reimbursement systems, especially Medicare, Medicaid, Workers Compensation, Motor Vehicle and contract payers.
• A good understanding of CPT, Modifiers, HCPC, ICD-9 codes and medical terminologies.
