In this role you will have the following daily key responsibilities: The Payload Product Senior Manager will be responsible for developing and maintaining overall Payload Product Strategy within the Product Management group of the Enterprise Performance and Improvement (EP&I) organization. This individual will be responsible for creating, managing and maintaining multiple Enterprise Payload Product lines to support the Enterprise's programs and pursuits across all Spacecraft Platforms, and aid in dissecting the subsystem elements to the individual product strategies. This effort will include partnering with the Spacecraft Bus Product Owner, Strategy and Business Development, (S&BD), Ignite, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Lines of Business (LOBs) to ensure product strategy is aligned with Mission Roadmaps; maintaining the Payload Products portion of the Product Catalog; Product Manager Oversight on Payload Products and support product improvement and optimization; drive product commonality across the Enterprise for Payload Product Lines; support common BOEs for Payload common products, and benchmark products and support market assessments. This position does not support teleworking; the preferred candidate will be located near our Lockheed Martin Space facility one of the Coolest places to work: Denver, Colorado , and be expected to work in the office.

Requirements

  • 10+ years professional experience with at least 5 years of demonstrated experience as a leader
  • Demonstrated program management skills (balancing technical, cost and schedule)
  • You will need to be a US Citizen, and be able to obtain and maintain a TOP SECRET/SCI clearance , to support this government contract, as well as successfully pass a drug and background check, in order to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with spacecraft payload product development and design
  • Knowledge of Product Management and experience with technical gap analyses, cost takeout methods and schedule acceleration techniques
  • Ability to lead/influence across a broad enterprise
  • Strong understanding and willingness to learn industry capabilities and supply chain partnerships
  • Ability to use metrics to critically assess product effectiveness, measure performance and take corrective action
  • Demonstrated exceptional strategic communication skills, including written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, and stakeholders, as well as program executives, with an ability to persuade and motivate action.
