About The Position

Department 440 SSN Payload Launch Control is hiring for entry level engineers for systems, hardware, software, test, and project engineering. Engineers will also be responsible for mission and safety critical electronic payload launch, control, and handling systems on VIRGINIA, SSNX, and AUKUS platforms. This includes in-house design, development, and qualification for new systems and fleet upgrades, vendor oversight, new payload and platform integration, trainers, and ownership of the end to end production process, utilizing systems engineering principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, Systems, Robotics, or Mechanical engineering
  • 0-5 years related industry experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Continuous Improvement skills
  • Understanding how to manage priorities
  • Personal accountability
  • Able to work independently

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of US Navy Combat Systems
  • Experience with CMMI and Systems Engineering Principles
