About The Position

FinThrive™ is seeking a Payer Relations & Connection Manager, who is responsible for all current and future relationships with payers (health insurance carriers). This role will be responsible for identifying opportunities, securing contracts and coordinating implementation on executed agreements. The Payer Relationship Manager will be responsible for cultivating relationships with payers and coordinating those relationships across the clearinghouse business. This role will have responsibility in expanding FinThrive’s payer-centric offerings while managing costs. The role provides product and payor expertise and is a key player in supporting the functions of our clearinghouse operations. Focused on ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction by quickly and correctly resolving or triaging cases and interacting with clients and payors via verbal and written communication in a professional manner.

Requirements

  • Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with payers and customers via phone, email, and in person.
  • Demonstrated use of excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to lead contract negotiations and coordinate across teams.
  • Critical thinking skills for continuous improvement around customer experience and operations.
  • Proven knowledge and experience in customer experience and support.
  • Demonstrated organizational, problem solving, time management, and analytical skills.
  • Past experience in a billing office with consistent communication with payors.
  • Ability to work in a team environment that requires quick turnaround and quality output.
  • Self-direction and a strong sense of professionalism and personal accountability.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of Healthcare, Payers, HIPAA, EDI, and Healthcare X12 transactions.
  • Knowledge of payer contracting and terms negotiation.
  • 2-4 years’ experience in the Healthcare industry.
  • Comprehensive understanding of hospital revenue cycle.
  • CRM or SalesForce experience.

Responsibilities

  • Identify targets and contact payers to secure agreements for connection.
  • Work with legal to execute agreements and drive implementation.
  • Build relationships with payers and understand their needs to further partnerships.
  • Work closely with Operations counterparts on communication with clients regarding payer connectivity.
  • Troubleshoot and address errors related to payer connectivity.
  • Manage invoices from payers and work with FinThrive Finance teams for reconciliation, approval, and payment.
