The Pay Station Clerk provides prompt and friendly service to customers and assists them when necessary. This role operates the cash register, replenishes supplies, and assists with cleaning tables.

Requirements

• Must be able to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or verbal instructions.
• Ability to deal with a few concrete variables.
• Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages.
• Ability to make change and understand verbal or demonstrated instructions.
• Ability to write identifying information and request supplies verbally or in writing.

Responsibilities

• Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions.
• Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner.
• Makes an effort to learn customers’ names and address them by name whenever possible.
• Assists customers by passing along suggestions or requests and enhancing the shopping experience.
• Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly, helpful service.
• Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Operates cash register accurately and reports improper cash levels.
• Redeems promotional coupons and processes various payment methods.
• Ensures adequate supply of silverware, condiments, and beverage cups.
• Refills and maintains coffee service area supplies.
• Practices proper sanitation procedures and maintains a clean work area.
• Adheres to company policies and individual store guidelines.
• Reports to work when scheduled and on time.
• Assists with bussing tables and running out orders as needed.
• Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required.
