About The Position

We’re Looking for a Road-Building Leader in Belton, TX area! Are you a seasoned pro in heavy civil paving with the skills to lead crews and the drive to travel where the work takes you? We're hiring a Paving Superintendent to take charge of high-impact projects—including concrete slipform paving—across multiple cities and job sites. This is a hands-on field leadership role where you'll be in the thick of the action: managing crews, running equipment, keeping schedules tight, and working closely with project teams to deliver excellence every step of the way. JOB DESCRIPTION: We are seeking a highly experienced Heavy Civil Paving Superintendent to oversee all aspects of paving operations, including concrete slipform paving. This is a field leadership role with regular travel to cities. and project sites, requiring hands-on supervision of crews and equipment, scheduling, and coordination with project stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in specified skill (depending on mechanic level).
  • Must have knowledge in concrete slip paving.
  • Post-offer drug/alcohol screen and physical evaluation.
  • Applicant/employee must not pose a direct threat to the health or safety of such individual or others in the workplace.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs (assistance recommended for heavier loads).
  • Work extended hours on foot, including on uneven or rough surfaces.
  • Climb ladders, kneel, crawl, or work at heights and in confined spaces.

Responsibilities

  • Direct and supervise all paving activities on site, ensuring work meets project specifications, schedules, and quality standards.
  • Lead and coordinate crews involved in grading, base preparation, asphalt, and/or concrete paving operations.
  • Oversee and manage slipform paving equipment setup, production rates, and finish quality (if applicable).
  • Monitor job progress and adjust operations to meet or exceed schedule and budget targets.
  • Ensure compliance with safety policies and conduct daily job hazard analyses (JHAs).
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to resolve field issues.
  • Manage equipment, material deliveries, and daily crew assignments.
  • Maintain accurate daily reports, logs, and field documentation.
  • Train and mentor crew members to build a skilled, safety-focused workforce.
  • Communicate with inspectors, clients, and DOT officials as needed.
