About The Position

The Paving Crew General Laborer will perform tasks involving physical labor at roadways by operating one or several types of maintenance equipment. Assists paving crew in the removal of rubble, debris, and hazardous materials, and other general labor duties.

Requirements

Ability to work a part of a team.

Ability to work nights and weekends when necessary.
Ability to work overtime as needed.
Ensure a safe work environment in compliance with all safety policies and procedures.
Prolonged periods of standing and walking.
Must be able to perform job functions in all weather conditions and terrains.

Responsibilities

Manual labor including shoveling, brooming, and raking.
Occasional equipment operation; including a skid steer or highway broom.
General duties associated with asphalt paving, patching, or prep crews.
Shovel, rake, and handle other small tools.
Equipment cleanup as needed.
Run small power tools.
Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.
Assists in the placement, moving, and dismantling of signs, barricades, cones, and other traffic control devices.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
