About The Position

Job Summary: We are seeking a dependable and hardworking Paving Crew Laborer to join our road and sitework construction team. In this role, you’ll assist with all aspects of asphalt paving, including preparing job sites, operating tools and equipment, and supporting the crew to ensure high-quality pavement installation. This is a physically demanding position that requires a strong work ethic, safety awareness, and the ability to work outdoors in varying conditions. Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities: Assist with site prep, grading, and cleaning before paving Shovel, rake, and smooth asphalt materials during paving operations Operate basic construction tools and assist with equipment setup and cleanup Direct traffic and set up safety zones around job sites as needed Work alongside equipment operators to ensure smooth material flow Clean tools, trucks, and equipment at the end of each shift Follow directions from foreman and experienced crew members Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment Offloading the truck and gathering tools for the day Transporting rakes, lutes, shovels, and spray cans to the paver Sweeping and cleaning the area in front of the paver Measuring and lining out the area for the day’s paving Transporting water to the rollers, power broom, and plate compactor Assisting the screed operator Maintaining cleanliness and packing equipment away at the end of the day. Requirements

  • Prior construction or paving experience is preferred, but not required
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
