About The Position

Intertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions to many of the world’s top-recognized brands and companies, is actively seeking a PAUT Level II Technician to join our Asset Integrity Management team for a 3–4-week project based in Washington State. Must be able to certify as a PAUT Technician with prior Level II certification and experience. What are we looking for? The PAUT Level II Technician is responsible for the inspection of assigned materials, objects, or systems using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing. Additional NDT certifications and experience are a plus. Shift/Schedule: this is a short-term, project-based position working 12-hour shifts, 6 days per week for a period of approximately 3-4 weeks beginning on or around April 4, 2026. Certification testing will take place in the weeks prior to the project start date, which will be fully paid at a training rate. Salary & Benefits Information The base wage or salary range for this position is $62.00-$68.00 per hour upon project commencement at the client facility and may be eligible for per diem based on travel distance from the facility. The base wage during the training/certification phase prior to the project start will be $18.00. Individual compensation packages are based on a variety of factors unique to each candidate including skill set, experience, qualifications, and other job-related reasons. What you’ll do: Using advanced ultrasonic equipment with phased arrays to test for flaws in materials and welds. Working knowledge of semi-automated and automated encoding required. Set up and calibrate equipment; interpret and evaluate results with respect to applicable codes, standards, and specifications. Should be thoroughly familiar with the scope and limitations of the methods for which qualified and shall exercise assigned responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of assigned trainees and NDE Level I personnel. Should be able to organize and report the results of any assigned NDT. This position outline is a general guideline and does not represent all encompassing details. Requirements

  • Minimum 5-7 years’ experience in Advanced UT methods, including, but not limited to Phased Array/Flexiform.
  • Prior Level II certification
  • API QUPA and API QUTE certifications or ISO Thickness, ISQ Shear Wave and ISQ Phased Array certifications required for consideration
  • Valid Drivers' License and reliable driving record (required)
  • Current TWIC card
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills and be fluent in English.
  • Computer skills, especially familiarity with MS Office applications. are necessary.

Nice To Haves

  • Additional experience and prior certification in other NDE methods (MT, PT, UTT, VT) preferred
