About The Position

This position is responsible for converting written and illustrated information to usable patterns and markers. The development of efficient, high-quality patterns that meet the design criteria and aid sewing is essential. The role includes processing orders by making patterns and markers for the manufacturing floor, determining the most efficient workflow for the cutting process using the CAD system, sewing schedule, and roll goods availability. Additionally, the position involves developing R&D patterns as needed, maintaining a working relationship with the manufacturing floor, and providing constructive information to bridge the gap between engineering and manufacturing. The individual will also be responsible for executing and supporting the quality system and procedures for continuous improvements.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school.
  • Six months to one year of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • Mathematical skills to work with concepts such as probability, statistical inference, and fundamentals of geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form.

Responsibilities

  • Process orders by making patterns and markers for the manufacturing floor.

  • Communicate clearly with others about the function of a pattern.

  • Execute and support the quality system and procedures for continuous improvements.
  • Consistently meet the daily schedule for manufacturing and completing R&D patterns.
