About The Position

Join Via Linda Behavioral Hospital's exceptional Outpatient Team as the Patriot Support Therapist specializing in Veteran, Active Duty and First Responder populations. This Outpatient Program Therapist provides clinical social services and therapeutic treatment skills to enable patients to achieve their optimal level of emotional and behavioral health. This role is responsible for psychosocial assessments, group and family therapy, participation in treatment team planning, processing commitments, discharge planning/ case management services, making referrals, crisis intervention and acting as a liaison with referral sources and other departments within the hospital. This is an impactful addition to the team with the potential to develop and expand the Patriot Support Outpatient Program with your expertise, while also growing your own career. This Therapist will specialize in support of our Veteran, Active Duty and First Responder population. Via Linda Behavioral Hospital, an innovative behavioral health hospital offering a full continuum of outpatient and outpatient services to the people of Scottsdale and the greater Phoenix, Arizona metro area. Our 120-bed facility will offer specialized mental health services and substance use treatment for teens, adults and older adults experiencing issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders and co-occurring addictions. Requirements

  • A master's degree in counseling, social work, psychology or a closely related behavioral health field and two years of professional counseling experience in a substance abuse or mental health treatment program OR any equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • A minimum of 2 years of full-time behavioral health experience in a psychiatric health care facility, with direct experience in group therapies, crisis intervention, and treatment skills; must have strong clinical assessment skills. A combination of education, licensure and experience and/ or student internship hours may be considered.
  • Licensure issued by the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners to engage in the practice of behavioral health in Arizona. LAC, LPC, LMSW or LCSW Required.
  • Must have or be able to obtain a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card.
