About The Position

The Patient Transporter is responsible for transporting patients, staff, etc., and materials (medical equipment, supplies, etc.) to all areas within the JPS Health Network. The role involves providing friendly and courteous customer service, actively participating in communication with medical staff, and assisting in maintaining adequate availability of equipment and supplies.

Requirements

• Current JPS recognized Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification and must be maintained throughout employment.

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Transports patients (via wheelchairs, gurney, or beds) as directed.
• Provides friendly and courteous customer service to all customers.
• Actively participates, communicates and engages with medical staff during the hand off process. Asks questions when needed.
• Assists in maintaining adequate availability of equipment and supplies. Notifies director or lead if inventories get low.
• Performs other job related duties as required.
