Patient Transport is an integral part of the Clinical Care Operations department which supports the patient flow and placement throughout this facility. We focus on our staff and empowering them to be engaged in the work that we do for our patients. As a Patient Transporter at Banner Gateway Medical Center, you will play a vital role in the safety of our patients by assisting nurses with moving/transporting patients throughout the facility with various equipment, including wheelchairs and stretchers. In addition to transporting patients, your responsibilities will include transporting specimens to the lab, and equipment as needed to its rightful place. You will be joining our very energetic, engaged, and customer service focused Clinical Care Operations (CCO) team that we like to call family! Transporters are constantly on the move in this fast-paced environment. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification is required (must meet AHA curriculum guidelines). This is a full time position and shift times may vary. You will have the opportunity utilize our self-scheduling tool for shift and weekend coverage. Enjoy an 18%-night shift differential and a flat rate $1/hour weekend shift differential when applicable. Our inpatient medical oncology unit also incorporates a program that utilizes the electronic surveillance partnership in caring for the patient, where remote nurses have the ability to interact with patients via two-way audio-video to assist the bedside nurse with patient care.
