About The Position
POSITION SUMMARY: Transports inpatients and outpatients to and from their destinations safely within the hospital. Assists patients and patient care staff.
Requirements
- High School or equivalent required.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued through American Heart Association required, or must be attained within two weeks of employment.
- Ability to learn to use the following: Wheelchairs Gurneys electric beds cell phones digital pagers
- Effective human relations skills
- Ability to retain composure under stress, to move quickly but effectively to meet patient care needs
- Time management skills to manage a high volume of assignments as expeditiously as possible
Nice To Haves
- Prior related work experience in medical environment preferred.
