About The Position

Raleigh General Hospital is seeking a Patient Transporter-PRN to join our team in Beckley, West Virginia. This role is essential in ensuring the safe transport of patients and equipment within the hospital. The Patient Transporter will be responsible for maintaining transport equipment and ensuring supplies are placed in the appropriate areas. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent - Preferred
• Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision
• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification to be obtained within 30 days of hire
• Ability to move and lift heavy persons and equipment
• Previous clinical experience in a similar environment preferred

Responsibilities

• Transports patients and equipment within the hospital
• Properly maintains transport and O2 equipment
• Stocks supplies and cleans procedure rooms
