About The Position
The position is responsible for transporting patients to and from various units and departments within the hospital, ensuring quality care while en route. The role involves receiving and documenting patient transportation assignments, aiming to transport three patients per hour, and filling out all necessary documentation such as the admitting log, sign-in book, nursing station log, and trip tickets. Additionally, the position requires transporting patients using various means such as wheelchairs, stretchers, beds, and other apparatus, while also attending in-service education and departmental meetings. Reporting accidents and unusual occurrences, assisting in equipment maintenance, and conforming to policies and procedures are also essential functions of this role.
