About The Position
We are hiring immediately for part-time Patient Transporter positions at TouchPoint, located at First Community Village in Columbus, OH. This role is essential in facilitating the safe and timely transport of patients, medical equipment, and patient-related items within the hospital environment. As a Patient Transporter, you will be responsible for ensuring that patients are moved safely and comfortably to their destinations, which may include various departments within the hospital. This position requires a compassionate approach, as you will be interacting with patients who may be in distress or discomfort. You will be trained to handle various medical equipment and ensure that all safety protocols are followed during patient transport. In this role, you will use wheelchairs and other approved rolling stock to transport patients, ensuring that IVs, drainage tubes, and other medical devices are secured properly. Communication is key, as you will need to effectively relay information to nursing personnel, clinicians, and other staff members regarding the patient's condition and any equipment issues that may arise. You will also be responsible for maintaining the transport equipment and reporting any repairs needed to ensure that all equipment is functioning correctly.
