About The Position

As a Patient Transporter with Sentara, you will s afely escort and transport patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics. The Patient Transporter strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara. You will be responsible for communicating clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients. Requirements

HS - High School Grad or Equivalent
Basic Life Support (BLS) - Other/National w/in 90 days of hire
Patient Care

Responsibilities

Safely escort and transport patients within all areas of the hospital using safe body mechanics.
Strictly adheres to all safety rules and initiatives of Sentara.
Communicating clearly with all staff, visitors, and patients.
Ensure adequate communication of information between Central Transport and other departments.
